Pastor Barry Rattray
He is the founding pastor of Deliverance Temple Church of God. Pastor Rattray was born to Arnold and Ivy Rattray in Clarendon, Jamaica. He is the eighth of nine children. Saved since his youth, Pastor Rattray became an ordained minister in 1994 and has served in churches in Jamaica and America. Before founding Deliverance Temple Church of God in 2012, Pastor Rattray held positions as Director and Regional Director of Port Antonio Youth for Christ and Youth Minister at Port Antonio Baptist Church and a board member. He also served at First Church of God Christian Life Center in Evanston, Illinois, as Youth President, New Direction Ministry leader (a class for those new to the faith), Prayer Ministry Coordinator, and Pastoral Care member. He was the Pastor for the 8:00 AM service, Associate Pastor, and Pastoral Care and Nurture Team.
Pastor Rattray is married to his lovely wife, Hyacinth Rattray. First Lady is an awesome woman of God who believes in the word of God, thou not perfect, strives daily to live the word as God so desired, strongly believes in the Golden Rule, Matthew 7:12. First Lady is a no-nonsense woman of God. First Lady holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Certificate as ASQ Certified Quality Auditor. First Lady has held many Pharmaceutical and Medical Device companies positions as a Quality Auditor and Complaint Investigator. First Lady Hyacinth is presently the Administrator and oversees the affairs of the church. First Lady has a kind and open spirit that reaches out to everyone she comes in contact with. Her loving spirit sets her apart from others, as she is always thoughtful and generous.
The first family has a heart for the people and a great desire to win souls for the kingdom. They have always had a desire to share God’s word. Strong believers live and breathe the word and find joy in telling of the Good News.
Pastor Rattray is naturally a man of a meek countenance but is unapologetic about what God has called him to do in the church—declare His word with power and boldness. He has great insight into the scriptures and is anointed to present them refreshingly.
Pastor Rattray and First Lady have three beautiful children: two daughters, Michelle, Sophia, and a son Andre.
